Brady's strong gripME AGAIN. I have to thank Mel for commenting on my blog the other day. It wasn’t until I saw her comment that my blog has been inactive for 9 months that I realized something…..my blog has been inactive for NINE MONTHS. So, here I am today with 15 minutes of spare time and I’m banging out a post.

I’m feeling a little rusty, but here goes.

BRADY. I mean really. Look at that face. He’s without a doubt the most handsome boy anyone’s ever seen. He’s almost 19 months old and I couldn’t be more in love with him. We’re teaching him sign language and he’s really taking to it. He is also enrolled in a toddler tumbling class. Instead of participating in the class though, he kind of just runs around and knocks stuff over. His favorite is when they hang a jump rope for all the kids to crawl under – he grabs the ends of the rope and tries doing double unders. I can’t really get mad since that’s what you’re ACTUALLY supposed to do with it….just because your sensitive kids don’t like it when he’s showing them the right way to do something, don’t give me eye daggers. Psh.

KATE. For a very brief and sad time this past summer Kate was living with my Mom. Maybe this is a horrible thing to say, but it was also a very relaxing and stress free time. Don’t get me wrong, I love that child. She just adds an extra level of stress to every situation she’s a part of. The idea that she’s the sun and we all revolve around her just makes it hard to accommodate with a family of 4. .If only I could un-teach her how to talk, and she could have to rely on sign language…..that would be so much better. She’s doing great in school though, so it’s really hard to complain.

ME. I’m back in the gym 3-4 times a week regularly. I’ll occasionally get lucky and even get in there 5 times! BOOM! The other day, something miraculous happened. I set a new life-time PR in the snatch! (56KG’s compared to my old 53kg’s) I knew there would be a long road to get back to where I was pre-Brady, but FUCK. I didn’t expect him to be 19 months old before I set a new PR. “Hey Brady, I know you’re away at college, but Mommy’s calling with some exciting news! I’m finally PR’ing again!”

LOG. My workout log is now divided into 2 sections: PR’s and post-Brady PR’s. In order to maintain my sanity I started keeping track of PR’s set since pregnancy. That seems to have helped a lot.
