Turns out I’m REALLY awesome at keeping up with my own blog. *shrugs* I’ve just had so much other cool/fun stuff going on that I haven’t gotten around to updates. I know you’re all DYING to know how my progress is coming along, so here goes:
My back injury hasn’t been bothering me nearly as much. I can stand for long amounts of time before needing to sit down, or just crouch, which is a huge improvement. I’m not even kidding when I say that back in May I couldn’t even grocery shop without having to stop and sit. PUH-THET-ICK. Bill has our Games hopefuls working off new programming, so we haven’t actually attempted any new single rep max stuff lately. So while I don’t have an update on my single rep max stuff, I can say that my deads are feeling MUCH stronger. I’m constantly chasing down Ivy, since we both work off the same one rep max. I only out-weigh her by 40lbs….but no big deal. 🙂
I still don’t have a muscle-up, but I have developed a much stronger ring dip. I can string together about 3 pretty consistently. Bill says I need to work on my dead hang pull-ups if I’m EVER going to get a proper muscle-up. I say I just need to get on the high rings and kip the living shit out of it.
